Shenetta Malkia
Shenetta Malkia SCHM is a managing partner and the Director of Property Management for The PMs of the City. She recently worked with Columbia Property Management helping restructure companies’ policies in accordance to DC housing laws.
Shenetta holds the following licenses and certification in the area of real estate: MD & DC sales agent, District of Columbia Property Manager and SCHM certification in affordable housing.
Malkia or #thepmofthecity to many is a native of Queens, N.Y. She attended AIU in Atlanta where she studied T.V & film production. She later matriculated to Bowie State University majoring in Business Administration.
Shenetta has worked real estate industry for the last 20 years. She is a nationally certified affordable housing property manager with her SCHM designation and a member of proud of NARPM®.
Working all aspects of management form lease ups, rehabs, asset management and project management in both multi-family and the commercial portfolios. Her portfolios have ranged from 500 units to 1500 units. Ms. Malkia joined The PMs of the City as a Partner and the Director of Property Management. Increasing revenue and maintaining increased occupancy are her strengths. Dedicated to the needs of her clients, Ms. Malkia understands the meaning of service and delvers exceeding.
In addition to her career in real estate, Shenetta is a licensed life insurance agent and the founder of Empowerment Essence. Empowerment Essence an organization dedicated to eradicating bullying and suicide beginning in Maryland & DC communities.
Her vision for Empowerment Essence is a direct result of resilience and regained strength. “One Life Saved Is One Life Given.”
Award Achievements include Agent of the quarter and agent of the year (American Income Life) 2014, Manager of the year 2016 & 2017 (Residential One) and Community ambassador of the year VKN foundation 2016.
